Dry cleaning

Many fabrics and garments are not washed in water to prevent damage such as felting, shrinking and fading. To avoid this damage, dry cleaning is highly recommended. This type of cleaning requires special machinery and procedures to prevent dispersion of solvents in the environment. The most commonly used solvent is tetrachlorethylene, commonly called Perc, which is currently the most effective solution.
