In a world increasingly focused on sustainability, Rampi S.r.l. has introduced RiuTan, an innovative service that allows laundries to properly manage empty canisters and contribute concretely to environmental protection. Let’s explore how it works and why it is a real response to the European Green Deal directive.
1. What is RiuTan?
RiuTan is a project aimed at reusing empty 15- and 25-liter canisters from Rampi products. Through a simple and effective process, the canisters are collected, inspected, reconditioned, and reintroduced into the market, drastically reducing plastic waste.
2. How does the service work?
- Collection: Laundries can return empty canisters following Rampi’s provided guidelines.
- Conditioning: Canisters must be thoroughly rinsed, retain their original labels, and be packed in special large bags (10 canisters of 15 liters or 12 of 25 liters).
- Documentation: Each bag must include the Reusable Canister Collection Document (DRTR), which is required to prove proper packaging management.
- Inspection and reconditioning: Each canister is checked for integrity and then reconditioned internally and externally.
- Reuse: The recovered canisters are refilled and reintroduced into the market, ensuring a sustainable circular process.
3. Benefits for laundries:
- Economic: A €0.50 credit for each reusable canister.
- Regulatory: The ability to prove proper packaging management thanks to the DRTR document.
- Environmental: A concrete contribution to reducing plastic waste.
4. A positive impact on the environment:
RiuTan helps protect our seas, rivers, and lakes, demonstrating that even the laundry sector can play a role in the fight against pollution.
With RiuTan, Rampi S.r.l. proves that innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand. Choosing this service means taking a step towards a cleaner and more environmentally friendly future.
